If y'all don't know by now, Juniper on the Water is one of the restaurants that I frequent, mostly due to their incredible truffle fries and the fact that my cousins are the unofficial Prom King and Queen of that place (I swear, the staff does no less than roll out the red rug for them!). I typically go for their brunch, so I was very excited to exist invited in for a media dinner to try some of their nighttime offerings.
Earlier I get to that, though, Take A Seize with teeth Out of Boca and I were invited in well-nigh a month prior to practice some more brunching. Since brunch is like white girl crack, I couldn't say no.
Our meal started with endless flowing mimosas. Personally I like my mimosas with champagne, hold the OJ.
We then got an order of shrimp cocktail to start with. I am someone who loves cocktail sauce so much, that I will utilise any vehicle I tin to scoop it upward – carrots, cauliflower, crackers, cardboard, heck I'd even lick it off a marathon runner's toe. But certainly the shrimp in this dish could not exist defined as but the side chick. Juicy and plump, they were certainly the main allure!
Growing up Jewish, yous would think that it's in my taste buds to beloved lox. Only only recently take I decided I don't completely hate salmon, and and then I decided to be adventurous and partake in their Salmon Platter, a house citrus-cured salmon, served with cucumber, tomato plant, capers, carmine onion, and of course a bagel and foam cheese. Turns out that this is one of my favorite dishes of theirs! The citrus-cured salmon had a sweet but smoky gustatory modality, and paired then nicely with the capers, another condiment that I can't get enough of. I've tried a couple of dissimilar salmon platters after the fact and have had to spit them out – looks similar this is one of the only cured salmons in the world that does information technology for me!
Lastly, I had the Cheddar Chorizo Frittata, of course with a side of BAE (if yous don't know by at present that that means "truffle fries," then you lot're on the wrong blog.) You tin't really get wrong with anything eggs, and I really enjoyed the chorizo in this fluffy, hearty frittata.

Okay, well I thought that that was the terminal round – merely how tin y'all have a meal that involves cream cheese, truffle cheese, and cheddar cheese, without following it up with a cheesecake?? That's like the 4 nutrient groups of cheese right there.
Deliciously decadent and served with raspberry sauce, I savored each flossy bite. It was almost the perfect way to shut out the meal – but of grade, if there's one thing I beloved simply as much as food, it's capturing a great shot of a cute outfit, and this is where the dazzler of Juniper comes in.
Ready right on Hallandale's intercostal, the view is just equally breathtaking as the nutrient. Sitting exterior while sipping on mimosas-concur-the-OJ, there'southward no other way to feel other than "life is practiced." So come for the food, and relish the view – and brand sure your friend is a badass photographer like mine is 🙂
And now, we dinner. Not merely did Juniper start the nighttime with free-flowing champagne, but they had hired local musician Brendon O'Hara to serenade us for the dark. The tabular array was beautifully ready, and the atmosphere was set just correct, to deliver the romance that would cause me to conceive a food infant.
One of the start offerings was Prawns a la Plancha, a dish of large caput-on prawns served with a spiced romesco and grilled lemon. I've always been a petty wary of whatever kind of fish served with its head still on, as if information technology'due south watching me from fish heaven. I don't know what I'd do if fries had eyes. But I dug and was glad I did. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and a very tasty manner to start the meal.
They then served united states one of their side dishes, a mix of cerise tomatoes, fresh basil, red onion, and crumbled feta cheese. It was a very refreshing dish that reminded me of summertime BBQs with the family, a perfect summer dish to go along with the seasonal music existence played in the background. Only I hungered for more, and since it was National French Fry Mean solar day, Juniper obliged my wishes and brought out BAE (truffle fries, the you lot non learned ANYTHING from this blog?? Jeez.)
The next dish was my favorite of the night, a grilled snapper served with charmoula sauce. The skin was perfectly crisp and the fish and then soft and flavorful. Juniper definitely knows how to perfectly cook each kind of fish that they serve, and I definitely volition keep coming back for the seafood.
We also couldn't cease the dinner without their signature cocktail, The Juniper. When I say that this is my FAVORITE cocktail in the world, I'm not exaggerating! made with puree of cucumber and yellow bell pepper, Hendrix gin, St. Germain and lime, and a cumin-spiced rim, it is by far the well-nigh interesting mix of flavors I take ever had in a martini. It'southward savory, yet completely refreshing. I could easily down five of these, which I didn't, because that would take made for ane expensive Uber ride.
Lastly, nosotros had the lamb shank, served with cranberries and polenta. Truth be told, I don't e'er eat lamb. Not because I love sheep so much; I've simply never liked the taste. However, covered in au jus and mixed with the cranberries, the gustatory modality was and then practiced that I might simply have to modify my mind. Sorry Mary, your fiddling lamb is mine.
Juniper fabricated the dinner really fun and interactive, and in one case once more a great photograph op! Friendly staff, romantic atmosphere, and perfectly cooked food – this identify is worth the drive to Hallandale every time!
